In October 2002 Dipak Patel joined Media Lab Europe as a Research Assistant, whilst on a three year sabbatical from BT, the UK's leading telecommunications company. He is currently a PhD candidate at University College London.
Dipak graduated from University of Manchester in 1998 with a degree in computer science. For four years, he worked as a researcher at BTexact Technologies (formally BT Labs), BT's research and development business. His work covered a wide variety activities, investigating and providing consultancy on emerging and disruptive technologies for organisations around the world.
