Dr. James Canton is a internationally recognized futurist, a digital entrepreneur and author. His area of expertise is the future of technology and its impact on business, customers and society. He is President of the Institute for Global Futures, a San Francisco-based think tank that advises Fortune 1000 clients on the strategic impact of leading-edge technologies.
Dr. Canton is an advisor to the National Science and Technology Council, Subcommittee on Nanoscale Science, Engineering and Technology, a group which advises the President of the United States on the coordination of science, space and technology policy. He is a Guest Host on CNN Financial News, where he reports on the latest technology trends and the emerging cyberculture that is reshaping business and society.
Dr. Canton Co-Directs the Center for New Business Strategy, which conducts research on the impact of emerging technology on business, economics and industry. He is the author of Technofutures: How Leading-Edge Technology Will Transform Business in the 21st Century (Hay House, 1999).
