Mark Matthews

HEA Researcher

Mark Matthews is a HEA Researcher with Media Lab Europe and PhD candidate with the
Computer Science Department, Trinity College Dublin. His current research concerns the use
of computer games to develop therapeutic relationships, the learning afforded by computer games
and the possibility of using mobile computer games as a distributed support system. Mark holds a
first class MSc in Multimedia from Dublin City University and a BA in English and Philosophy
from Trinity College Dublin. He is passionate about fishing, spending most of his free time on
trawlers in Dublin bay and also cultivates an interest in spoons.
